Mission and Goals
BULGARIAN NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF OTORHINOLARYNGOLOGY, HEAD AND NECK SURGERY is a non-profit association — an independent legal entity separate from its members, who are ENT physicians from the Republic of Bulgaria. It is a voluntary, independent, and non-political organization, operating for the benefit of the public.
The purpose of the Association is to:
- To support the enhancement of qualifications, assist in professional development, and encourage the creative and scientific work of otorhinolaryngologists in Bulgaria.
- To promote the establishment and development of professional contacts between otorhinolaryngologists in Bulgaria and those in the European Union and other countries.
- To assist in the development of otorhinolaryngology in compliance with the norms of established national standards.
- To support the introduction of the most advanced diagnostic and treatment methods into otorhinolaryngological practice for ENT diseases.
- To protect the professional interests of otorhinolaryngologists in the country.
The Association achieves its goals through:
- Organizing and conducting congresses, conferences, symposia, seminars, and courses on otorhinolaryngological topics within the country, as well as participating in international events aimed at the exchange of scientific information and practical experience.
- Publishing a national journal of the Association as a periodic scientific print publication.
- Participating in national and international projects addressing significant and/or current issues in otorhinolaryngology.
- Developing and launching the Association’s own website.
- Lobbying for and defending the interests of the Association and of otorhinolaryngologists before governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as third parties.
The subject of additional economic activity, related to the Association’s primary purpose and in accordance with the applicable legal regulations in the country, includes: advertising activities; publication of articles and scholarly works in specialized scientific journals; issuance of directories, books, and journals containing scientific papers and materials; organization of specialized lectures and practical courses under the auspices of the Association; participation in projects in the field of otorhinolaryngology; involvement of the Management Board in cooperatives and commercial companies; and other activities aligned with the goals and objectives of the Association. The income generated from these additional economic activities shall be used exclusively to achieve the aims of the Association.
Who are we?
The Bulgarian National Association of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery is an independent, voluntary, non-profit organization that unites ENT physicians from across Bulgaria. Our mission is to support the advancement of ENT medicine by enhancing professional qualifications, encouraging scientific activity, and introducing modern diagnostic and therapeutic practices.
